Bringing you the latest ROWDY music!

Bassnectar Lollapalooza 2015

Ethereal as always, and bass heavy – one of our favorites, Bassnectar does it time and again. Dropping Childish Gambino in the beginning of this video, then moving onto his gold “Into the Sun”, and then to heavy metal – Slayer/Pantera?!? This set is just straight ROWDY!

Aliens unite! After advertising the IOS/Android game “Alien Ride” (seemingly, a mock up of the classic Atari game Asteroids), the dubstep Grammy winning producer, Skrillex had a mystery “Secret” no-access folder installed in the game. Well the wait is OVER and the secret is out! The folder features Skrillex’s new album “Recess” – a full stream available for only a limited time (in the game, but we gotchu covered!), pre-order the album on iTunes. On our first listen, the album seems to feature Skrill’s traditional gnarly drops and wubs, but with added samples of distorted vocals and mixing of some dope drum patterns. We hear various upbeat unique elements of trap, electro, reggae, hip hop, rap, of course dub, all of which warrant the album to be played AT MAX VOLUME! With collaborations with Diplo, Chance The Rapper, Alvin Risk, Ragga Twins, Fatman Scoop, and Kill The Noise, it’s safe to say that after Bangarang (Skrillex’s last album in 2011), this was well worth the wait!

Farewell – Dream Vision [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Since their intro with the Rowdy Beats, our boys at Dream Vision are taking strides ahead. Their latest release Farewell invokes emotions –

“Electronic music can come from the heart too, and this tune did. It touches on the feelings associated with love and loss. The blissful, but uncertain feeling of love and the crushing, twisted feeling of loss. Of any kind.”

Singularity – Rift feat. Jenn Lucas (Felxprod, Frequent & Roger Wilco remix)

“Rift” by Singularity ft. Jenn Lucas was already quite an amazing song to begin with, but add in the styles of Felxprod, Frequent & Roger Wilco and this song goes through the roof. It comes in easy with a dope piano intro and some vocals from the heart and the drop is downright incredible. Melodic dupstep is some of the coolest EDM on the scene today.

Inaki – Intergalactic Diety EP [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Inaki has released Intergalactic Diety – a new EP featuring sounds signature of Inaki with an innovative approach on revolutionizing the future of melodic dubstep. Perhaps one of the most distinct things about this EP is the use of vocals – what’s your take on it? Aside from the that, his melodies and drops never disappoint and this EP is just more proof of that. Show him some love on FB and [FREE DOWNLOAD]

We had a chance to ask him about the EP, this is what he had to say:

Well the EP was made with the mindset of making tracks similar to the ones which inspired me to begin producing and fall in love with EDM. I then also wanted to take that a step further and show people what my style is and who I am as an artist, evolving from the styles that inspired me to create my own sound.

The title has a few meanings to it actually, “Intergalactic” refers to my personal life and how I’ve had to move around from place to place (Argentina to USA, back to Argentina, Now Madrid) while “Deity” is a reference to “Fierce Deity” from Legend of Zelda, which brings back nostalgia to a lot of people and is exactly what I want people to feel when they hear this EP, whether it be by the Adventure Club/Skrillex inspired vocal chops, the seven lions’ inspired trancy dubstep feel, or even the really atmospheric stuff I used to write a lot when I began producing.

I also named it intergalactic due to the spacey atmospheres in some of the tracks haha…Idk I could just go on and on, but I think everyone can just interpret it in their own way.

The vocals are all from sample packs so I can’t say too much about that. Was planning to do a song with Iain Mannix for the EP but things just didn’t click and I ended up dropping that tune altogether.

I really am proud of all the songs on this EP…but I would say by a very slim margin, Intergalactic Deity is my fave track off the EP because I went back ,heard all of my tracks I made in the past 2 years and thought about what I was influenced by at that time. Then I picked my fave aspects of those tracks and then combined it with the stuff I’m making now…and that was the result haha. Probably one of the most fun tracks I’ve produced in a while though that’s for sure.

My Heart by Different Heaven & EH!DE

This is one of those tracks whose upbeat walkin’ groove has you nodding your head along, thinking “alright, this is pretty neat.” Then, from nowhere, a throbbing river of “wub” tears through the surface, transforming your casual stroll through electronic candyland into a mosh-inducing romp that will leave you feeling fantastically ready to rave.

[I’m The One] Dillon Francis & Flux Pavilion

Off of Flux’s yet to be released EP, Flyaway, ‘I’m The One’ is an outstanding collaboration between two masters of EDM, Flux Pavilion and Dillon Francis. Breathe Carolina – Mistakes (Inaki Remix) [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Our boy is back at it again. Inaki, the young producer has taken to remixing Breathe Carolina’s “Mistakes”. The name doesn’t suit this remix because we don’t see any mistakes here, just sheer good vibes. We got an exclusive insight from the man himself, here is what he had to say: [FREE DOWNLOAD]

“I was actually looking for something to remix and I came across this track on Indaba Music’s remix competitions (even though the submission period is been over), as soon as I heard the great vocals and uplifting vibes I knew I could make something great out of it and just had to do it. It was one of those things where everything just clicked and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. When I started out I took the original guitar riffs and uplifting parts of the vocals and did lots of chopping up and pitching. Then I built up the track around that, trying to keep the same energetic/uplifting vibes I felt from the guitar lead/riff in the drop, even throwing my own little guitar solo in there haha. Luckily everything just seemed to fall into place!”

Reactions by Condukta

“Reactions” by Condukta is everything we’re looking for in a dubstep a track. The song starts off real slow with a great melody, some underlying harmonies and a fairly original drum fill that build up to a dubby drop! By the way, this kid is 16 YEARS OLD.

Adventure Club, the duo with the power of melodic dubstep, showcase their skills in this song “Thunderclap”. What is a “Thunderclap”, you may ask? Sheer big room electrohouse harmonic bass dubstep power with drops that will electrify your day. Seems like it could be used for the next Thor movie’s fight scene. We know how dreadful Mondays are, but this song features a gnarly melody that really seems to define the song and fix our Monday sadness. The poppy yet hard rock vibe that is heard is powerful and thunderous. The Canadian duo never seize to impress us with their massive talent, and this song is doing just that.

Walk Away by Jarvis

Jarvis really shows us his creative potential with his latest track “Walk Away”. The piece incorporates some beautifully organized melodies and some Passion Pit-like lyrics that add a whole other dimension to this song. All you gotta do is add in the filthy bassline and suddenly this track is bumping! This cat from Colchester just dropped an entire EP, so don’t forget to grab that and give this kid some support.
